In July 2025, the South Brown County Community Foundation surveyed residents across South Brown County. A clear theme emerged: many residents believed an area for improvement was greater neighborhood pride and care. Out of that feedback, and a community collaboration group that met to identify next steps, the Brighten Your Corner initiative was created.
